One of Beyond Green’s missions is to help members collaborate on Sustainability ‘Best Practices’. As more and more new members are joining the portfolio, we are creating a platform for founding members and new members alike to come together and share information and learn from each other, to support our leadership position as Planet Earth’s Most Sustainable Hotels. This program will be mainly ‘operationally’ focused in helping members enhance their sustainability measures on the ground, and Beyond Green will provide input obtained from leading sustainability associations around the world. See full program over view here.
We are proposing a number of initiatives to help launch this program, and we look forward to your ongoing support and ideas for how this program can build over time. See more on the program here.
We are pleased to confirm our first ALL-Members call on the subject of ‘Sustainability Measurement’ took place on November 29th at 12pm EST. Led by Anne-Laure Amabile, Agronomist - Agronomist - CSR project manager at The Brando, and Jeanne Bernard, CSR Manager at Pacific Beachcomber SC as well as Frank Murphy, the Executive Director at Tetiaroa Society.
We are starting with this topic so we can ensure all Beyond Green members are accurately capturing key sustainability measurements in 2023 to report their own ‘impact report’. It is our aim to then collate all member’s reports into a brand wide Beyond Green Global Impact Report to be published in Q4 2023. This will follow the submission of Preferred Travel Group’s Climate Action Plan in Q3 2023, as part of our commitment in signing the Glasgow Declaration in Q3 2022. Please let us know if you have other topics you wish us to focus on going forward.
In addition we held the most recent best practices call on sustainable partnerships. Michael Osgood, the Vice President of Alliance Partnership, spoke on partnerships through preferred. See below the resources from that call.
To enable better communications between members to share ideas and collaborate on sustainability initiatives (or commercial opportunities) a contact database of all beyond Green members has been added to the Green Room and can be accessed here.
To share sustainability news, ideas, and success stories to the Beyond Green membership as a whole, we are creating a WhatsApp Group. If you or your team want to be added to this group, please provide use this link to join.
We recognize that with a membership all over the world, you each work with different vendors to help support your sustainability goals. Members have asked that we create a ‘Knowledge Center’ where you can each recommend your vendors to the rest of the portfolio. Please share any recommendations you have for sustainable vendors in this form to help kickstart this initiative. We will create the knowledge center in the Green Room and share access through a future Good Host email newsletter.
