Today’s distribution landscape is complicated. Wholesalers and OTAs sell, then resell, their rates to a vast network of resellers who then offer it to the consumer anywhere and everywhere the internet can take them. This plethora of channels and rates needs to be controlled to effectively optimize revenue. While some global regions may enforce laws that restrict what we can require of an OTA, by maintaining one same price across all our distribution channels, we in fact have rate parity – all on our own.
