Henry Wu
President, Liverton Hotels International Inc.
Henry Wu is president of Liverton Hotels International Inc., a Toronto-based boutique hospitality company that develops, operates, manages and markets luxury hotels, extended-stay residences and restaurants. At Liverton, Henry also heads the development of novel hospitality software based on emerging cloud technology.
Before starting his hospitality career in 1993, Henry spent more than 6 years as a teacher and researcher in computer hardware, systems software, symbolic computing, as well as artificial intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he also earned his bachelor’s (1986) and master’s (1987) in electrical engineering and computer science. While at MIT, he acted as an independent consultant advising investment fund managers, private equity investors, law firms and startup companies on diverse issues from technology to trade.
Henry has been on the Board of Directors of Preferred Hotel Group since 1998. Henry served on the Board of Governors, executive committee and Senate of York University in Toronto. He is an avid photographer, enthusiastic golfer and a keen observer and contributor to all topics involving digital technology.
